The initiative marks a major step in making electric mobility more accessible and cost-effective, especially for gig workers involved in last-mile delivery services.

This partnership is a significant move in transforming the last-mile delivery sector.

Indofast Energy, India’s leading battery-swapping solutions provider, is expanding its partnership with EVeez, a top mobility solutions provider, to deploy 20,000 electric bikes across major Tier I and Tier II cities.

Cities such as Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Vijayawada will benefit from this expansion over the next 24 months.

This collaboration aims to fast-track the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the last-mile delivery sector. By improving battery-swapping infrastructure, the initiative will make EVs more accessible and cost-effective for gig workers in quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery services.

Rajat Malhan, Senior Vice President at Indofast Energy, shared his vision: “We do over 40k swaps every day and have over 900 swapping stations across the country. Our OEM agnostic battery swapping infrastructure allows any fleet player or retail customer to easily access our network for their fleet – across two and three-wheelers.”

Gaurav Rathore, Co-founder and CEO of EVeez, highlighted the broader impact of this partnership: “This collaborative approach enables us to overcome traditional barriers to EV adoption by offering a reliable, cost-effective solution that meets the dynamic needs of last-mile delivery partners across India.”

By providing sustainable livelihoods and affordable electric vehicles, this initiative is helping overcome traditional barriers to EV adoption, making it easier for last-mile delivery partners to operate in a rapidly growing market.
