As we enter the second half of 2025, major two- and four-wheeler manufacturers are releasing their June sales figures. The key focus is whether sales have improved between May 2025 and June 2024.
According to CNBC-TV18, in June 2025 vehicle sales showed mixed results. Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai reported double-digit declines, while Mahindra, Toyota, and JSW MG Motor saw growth. Two-wheeler sales remained mostly positive.

Hero MotoCorp Sees 10% Growth in June 2025 Two-Wheeler Sales
Hero MotoCorp reported a 10 per cent rise in total two-wheeler sales for June 2025, dispatching 5.54 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters. Domestic sales grew 7 per cent to 5.25 lakh units compared to 4.91 lakh units last year, with motorcycle sales increasing by 8 per cent to 5.1 lakh units. Scooter sales saw a significant jump of 36.7 per cent, reaching 41,305 units.
The company maintained strong retail momentum, reportedly recording 3.94 lakh Vahan registrations. Exports more than doubled to 28,827 units from 12,032 units.
Maruti Suzuki Sees 4.2% Decline in June 2025 Production
Maruti Suzuki reported a 4.2 per cent drop in total production for June 2025, with output falling to 1.27 lakh units compared to 1.33 lakh units in June 2024. Passenger vehicle production also declined by 4.2 per cent, down to 1.25 lakh units from 1.3 lakh units in the same period last year.
Hyundai Exports Up 13% in June; Overall Sales Grow Modestly
Hyundai reported a 13 per cent rise in exports for June 2025, reaching 16,900 units compared to 14,840 units in May. Total sales increased by 3.7 per cent to 60,924 units, up from 58,701 in the previous month. Domestic sales remained steady, posting a slight 0.3 per cent rise to 44,024 units from 43,861 in May.
Mahindra SUV Sales Surge 18%, Hits Record High
Mahindra & Mahindra defied the market slowdown, posting an 18 per cent jump in utility vehicle sales for June 2025, with 47,306 units sold compared to 40,022 units last year. This reportedly marks the company’s highest-ever SUV sales in a single quarter.
Toyota Sales Up 5% in June, Fueled by SUV and MPV Demand
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recorded a 5 per cent rise in sales for June 2025, reaching 28,869 units compared to 27,474 units last year. The growth was driven by strong demand for SUVs and MPVs. Of last year’s total, 25,752 units were sold domestically and 1,722 units were exported.
JSW MG Motor Posts 21% Growth; Tata Motors PV Sales Drop 15%
JSW MG Motor India reported strong year-on-year growth of 21 per cent in June 2025, dispatching 5,829 units, driven by rising demand for EVs like the Windsor. In contrast, Tata Motors saw a 15 per cent decline in passenger vehicle sales, including EVs, with 37,083 units sold compared to 43,524 units in June 2024.
Two-Wheeler Sales Mixed in June 2025
June 2025 saw mixed performance in the two-wheeler segment, as per Financial Express. Bajaj Auto’s domestic sales, including commercial vehicles, fell 13 per cent to 1,88,460 units. In contrast, Royal Enfield grew 16 per cent to 76,957 units, boosted by the Himalayan 450. TVS Motor saw a 10 per cent rise to 2,81,012 units, driven by strong scooter and EV demand.
