After ruling the market with the current version, Mahindra is now gearing up to release the facelift avatar of the hot-selling product, Thar 3-door. The company has not revealed any official as yet. However, the vehicle has been spotted during the testing phase, hinting that the launch is likely around the corner.
According to the leaked images, the model was seen partially covered in camouflage, as it seems like the company is less bothered about hiding the details. Going by the spy images, the off-roader carries the same style statement, flaunting its hot-selling colour red with slight nip-and-tuck updates in some portions.
Here’s What To Expect
The upcoming Thar is expected to get a revised grille, improved LED headlight setup with integrated round-shaped DRLs, new bumpers, slightly tweaked fenders, and enhanced side claddings. It is also likely to run on the new set of alloy wheels, which will make it look more aggressive compared to the outgoing avatar.
New Features
Apart from the cosmetic changes, the upcoming facelift version is expected to offer new trending features. The customers can expect a larger touchscreen infotainment system with all the wireless car connect technology with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a 360-degree camera with dynamic guidelines and ventilated front seats and whatnot.
Engine
Under the hood, nothing will be changed or updated. It means Thar facelift will remain using the same petrol and diesel engines. These include 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and 2.2-litre diesel engines. As far as the gearbox is concerned, it will be available in both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
