The German car maker Mercedes-Benz has witnessed impressive sales figures in the last few months. The brand has been hitting the headlines for multiple reasons, but this time, it is in the news for one Bollywood celebrity who has not one, not two but four Maybachs in his Garage. And, the title is held by none other than Shahid Kapoor.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600
Over the years, the actor has been seen being obsessed with the German carmaker as he has purchased some luxurious models in the past. According to the reports, Kapoor purchased a Maybach GLS 600 SUV in December 2023. He ditched all the bling colours and straight went for a stunning Deep Metallic Emerald Green shade.
He was even spotted a couple of times, flaunting his ride with his wife Mira Kapoor.
Price and Engine
The model comes with a price tag of Rs 3.39 cr (ex-showroom) in India. It has been treated with 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 549 bhp and 770 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 48V mild-hybrid setup that adds an extra power of 20 bhp and 250 Nm of boost.
Other Models
Apart from the Maybach GLS 600, Kapoor also owns Mercedes-Maybach S680, S580 in Pristine White shade and S400. Talking about the S 580, the brand assembles this model locally at its facility in Chakan. It comes with a longer wheelbase as compared to standard S-Class and offers more space and legroom to the occupants.
When it comes to the S680, it arrives in the country as a complete import unit and offers cutting-edge technology with some luxurious features.
