Showfloor News: MIND Education announces InsightMath, a math curriculum built on brain research

Education

“To understand mathematics deeply and carry that knowledge for life, students can’t just observe math; they need to do math,” said Brett Woudenberg, CEO of MIND Education. “That involves making predictions, testing ideas, discussing their thinking, and revising along the way. With InsightMath, our hope is to create classrooms where every student is thinking, talking, and making sense of math.”

InsightMath builds on more than 25 years of proven results from ST Math, MIND Education’s highly

engaging supplemental program used by nearly 2.2 million students nationwide. Like ST Math,

InsightMath leverages spatial-temporal reasoning and visual problem-solving strategies to unlock

deeper learning. This approach has demonstrated measurable outcomes: students across the

country—regardless of school size, location, or performance level—consistently make meaningful

gains in math achievement with ST Math.

“I really liked the opportunity for student discourse and productive struggle in all the lessons,” said

Emily Landrum, Math Specialist at Navarro ISD. “The students exploring to learn a new concept

instead of teachers lecturing was super impactful on their learning.”

InsightMath is available nationwide. Future planned enhancements to InsightMath include additional differentiation supports (i.e., small-group activities, math routines, and table games), a Spanish-language version, and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) in California.
