Thousands could not access X, formerly Twitter, according to Downdetector.
Social media users have reported a largescale outage on Elon Musk’s platform, with over 5,000 reports lodged in the last hour.
The problem was first flagged at around 2:20pm, with 5,559 people taking to Downdetector, which allows users to highlight issues with a range of websites, to complain.
People opening X on their mobile phones and the web are being met with a “something went wrong” message.
X has not yet commented on the cause of the outage.
