Before Diwali, Indian Railways will launch its first Vande Bharat sleeper express train from Delhi to Patna via Prayagraj—faster, safer, and more comfortable.

Unlike the chair-car version, this sleeper train is built for night journeys. With CCTV, LED screens, auto doors, fire safety, and announcement systems, it promises a flight-like experience on rails.

Made with advanced ICF technology by BEML, the train can hit speeds of 180 km/h. It offers a pocket-friendly alternative to flights with the comfort of sleeper coaches.

Leaving Patna at 8 PM, it reaches Delhi by 7:30 AM—just 11.5 hours. That’s half the time of the Rajdhani Express, which takes around 23 hours!

The interiors are designed with an airplane-style finish. Tickets are expected to cost 10–15% more than Rajdhani Express, but with better speed and comfort.

Currently running on 7 routes, Vande Bharat trains are expanding. With growing demand, more coaches and upgraded versions like this sleeper are on the way.
