Each new Dreamlight Valley update adds new characters, features, and quests to the life sim, and the roster of Dreamlight Valley residents has expanded so much already – and shows no signs of slowing down. Disney Dreamlight Valley is now officially out of early access, and the first part of the Dreamlight Valley Rift in Time DLC has been released too. As such, Dreamlight Valley has never been better, and its vibrant community, speedy bug fixes, and regular content updates have already cemented Dreamlight Valley as one of the best life games around. Next Dreamlight Valley update
The next Dreamlight Valley update release date, featuring Mike and Sulley from Monsters Inc, is Wednesday, February 28, 2024. This was announced on Twitter along with more details about what to expect from the The Laugh Floor update.
The Laugh Floor is set to be a huge update for the relaxing game, introducing the hilarious Monsters Inc duo through their very own realm, as well as massive changes to Scrooge’s store, and some new cosmetic items, including colorful contact lenses. This is one we can’t wait for, as Mike and Sulley are two of our all-time favorite Disney Pixar faces.
Given that the monsters are arriving through a realm, you’re going to need enough Dreamlight to unlock it, so get ahead of the game and start collecting and converting Dreamlight Valley Dream Shards now. We’d recommend saving up some Star Coins as well, with improved stock rotation and even more items to choose from in Scrooge’s store. In a cryptic hint on Twitter/X, perhaps about the Monsters Inc update, doors are also going to be available in the shop going forward, and we can’t wait to see what that means.
Dreamlight Valley update schedule
Update 7 pretty much reverted to the standard two-monthly schedule that Gameloft has stuck to so far, following the DreamSnaps outlier. The December update kept this trend going, and with the Laugh Floor coming in February, we’re firmly back on track.

- April 5, 2023: Update 4, Pride of the Valley, adds a The Lion King realm, in which a story unravels starring Simba and Nala – and a lot of Hyenas. There’s also a new surprise when you increase your friendship with Buzz.
- February 16, 2023: A Festival of Friendship reunites Olaf with Elsa, and introduces us to Mirabel Madrigal and the Mini-Casita.
- December 6, 2023: Update 2, Missions in Uncharted Space lets you unlock Stitch in Dreamlight Valley, and Toy Story characters Buzz and Woody.
- October 19, 2023: Scar’s Kingdom adds Dreamlight Valley Scar quests to the Disney game, revealing the new Mines, and new resources.
